Spanish modern metallers Jotnar sign with Murdered Music for the release of their debut EP entitled "Giant" that will be distributed worldwide via Coroner Records from May 7, 2012.

“Giant”, which includes 5 tracks of melodic death metal with old school and modern influences blended together, has been mixed and mastered at Perfect Fifth Studio, Canada.

The band is confirmed for an important festival in Sweden, the  Rock Bitch Boat Festival, (Stockholm Sweden, 27th-29th October, www.rockbitchboat.com), and soon will be able to announce the participation in one of the biggest, more important and reputed festivals in Europe.

Poly-instrumentist Ettore Rigotti and screamer Claudio Ravinale from DISARMONIA MUNDI (the italian death metal act known for the presence of Bjorn "Speed" Strid from SOILWORK on its ranks) formed with guitarist Elliot Sloan (also known for being a professional skater in the Tony Hawk team) a brand new band called "The Stranded". Keyboard player Alessio NeroArgento has been subsequently added to the line-up.

The debut album entitled "Survivalism Boulevard" is scheduled on July 2nd, 2012 via Coroner Records, while the Japanese version, featuring an exclusive bonus track, will hit the stores via Media Factory.

"To Persevere Is Diabolical", the new full-length album by Italian metallers Fomento, will be released on March 12, 2012 via Coroner Records.

Here is a statement about the album from frontman Marco Krasinski:
"The new album is entitled "To Persevere Is Diabolical" because we wanted it to be a continuation and evolution of the previous record. For this reason the artwork also incorporates the theme of Cerberus that on "Either Caesars Or Nothing" was only hinted at and now it's the main concept.

The first record was about all the mistakes that the modern man does so well, if to err is human, to persevere in error is diabolical.

Unlike the first album, which was mostly written by me, this new one was born as a band project, trying to let all band members music tastes and background will flow in each song. There is a new black and especially death metal vein that pervades the album that before was not so obvious and that added some evil stuffs to what we already did."

The Night Flight Orchestra, the new "Classic Rock" project with Björn "Speed" Strid from Soilwork and Sharlee D'Angelo from Arch Enemy, signs with Coroner Records for the worldwide release of its debut album.

The band is currently recording the album which will be released in June 2012.

"The Night Flight Orchestra" started like so many others as an innocent yet serious drunken idea when Björn Strid (Soilwork) and David Andersson (Mean Streak, Soilwork session player) were on the road together somewhere in North America in 2007.
Björn and David were bonding over what they considered "classic" or not, from rock'n'roll conspiracies to being arrested in a lobby with nothing but leather pants on.

All those scenarios, fictional or real, needed a soundtrack. They also came to think that whether you're on a metal tour or not, a lot of classic rock songs say it all and can really lend you a helping hand and make you forget about everything, especially when in motion or travelling. The classic escape. The never-ending road trip. The transatlantic night flight. It may sound simple and naive but what it all comes down to is that we all need that soundtrack to feel extra special, whether you have been arrested in a lobby or not.

It didn't take long before bass player Sharlee D'Angelo (Arch Enemy, Spiritual Beggars) joined forces as well as keyboard player Richard Larsson (Von Benzo) and drummer Jonas Källsbäck (Mean Streak).

The goal was to reclaim the 70's/early 80's sense for classic melody, the forgotten recipe to a timeless song, preferably a song mentioning a city, street name or an exhilarating alcoholic beverage. Anything that will have you spitting out the word "classic".

Italian metallers Fomento have set "To Persevere Is Diabolical" as the title of their new full-length album due in early 2012 via Coroner Records.

Production duties were once again handled by frontman Marco Krasinski and the album was recorded, mixed and mastered by Matteo Gabbianelli at Kutso Noise Home Studio in Rome, Italy.

"To Persevere Is Diabolical" features 11 new tracks and as frontman Marco Krasinski said: "Each song takes you by surprise and slams you in the balls with punishing riffs and brutal drum assaults".

After their anti-emo single "Kill FashionCore", Fomento's got also a new anathema called "Necropotency" which is a blistering attack against reunion bands and what they stand for in today's music industry.
